No.oN – Claire Huber

No. is a scenic poem and solo performance in which voice, body, text and sound come together. Starting from a radical “no”, Claire Huber investigates the refusing body: a body that refuses to move, falters, and resists imposed rhythms and expectations.

Instead of explaining that resistance, the performance focuses on the “no” itself as a language, a rhythmic force that clashes with its counterpart: the continuous flow of movement and action (“on”). This tension forms the core of a poetic stream where sound, meaning, and physical presence are constantly shifting.

The voice is surrounded by a spatial soundscape and interwoven with music and movement, creating a sensory experience between speaking and listening, between stillness and progress.

No. is a quest for the possibilities of resistance, individuality, and connection—and for what emerges when “no” and “keep going” continue to challenge each other.
