And what if we gave a voice to Water by reading a novel together, aloud?

The Water Parliament is a novel with three plotlines that, like water, are interconnected and form a single whole. We follow:

• The creative process and its accompanying struggles of a writer, a single mother of three children, who suffers from eco-anxiety and bipolar mood swings (the individual);
• the Grim fairytale/science fiction story that she writes. It is set in 2050, a dark time in which extreme forms of oppression, repression and control make (co)existence on Earth completely unliveable (society);
• the conversation between the various water entities (Sea, Salt Marsh, Lagoon, Rhône, Little Stream, Meyrosse, and many others) residing in the writer's head and debating the toxic relationship between humankind and all living things (le vivant). Their voices will be decisive for the content and form of the story the writer is penning. .

Between 27 March and 3 July 2026, we will meet with a regular group of readers to give voice to the various water entities and the different characters that give the novel its strength and meaning.

This collective journey is a social eco-activist experiment that highlights the interconnectedness between self-care, care for society, and care for the ecosystem. It forms an essential part of the research project. KuNaZo3.
