Tanto Amore Segreto turned out to be a highly original performance. Simonne Moesen effortlessly kept us under the spell of Puccini's heroines and surprised us with this smooth piece that was completely conceived and elaborated by her. Especially the inventions in terms of costumes, shoes and props and, of course, the musical quality of the singer and her accompanist Kaat De Windt made it a wonderful whole. My colleague and I learnt quite a bit about the content of the operas, in a way that was both playful and moving. Our heartfelt congratulations! - Ann

I liked the approach to “opera” - I am not a real opera connoisseur/lover because I am too down-to-earth... so not romantic enough to burst into tears (like my grandmother snickered until she had to gasp!). So I could enjoy the brief but powerful interpretations on the one hand (perfectly supported by the minimalist accessories) and then related to the “now”. Wonderful find that nimbleness and relatability coupled with professionalism. I enjoyed it and hope many will too! - Patricia

I liked the concept lol: I'm not too crazy about ‘opera’ myself but this gave a nice introduction with a big wink! Also absolutely fantastic singing and acting and the arrangements and musical support were also perfect! I really hope that more performances like this are programmed and school performances are made of it: that way, young people also get to know ‘opera’ in a light-hearted way. - Roger

me just GENIETEN. I take my (figurative) hat off to Simonne Moesen and Kaat De Windt. What a performance! My husband just loved it too. I also think this production can encourage people to get acquainted with Puccini's operatic works. - Danielle

The performance deviated from “the classical” we are more accustomed to, but we could appreciate this modern form of art! We were fascinatingly introduced to Puccini's (heroines from) operas. I particularly liked the performance of Tosca's aria!

Not quite knowing what to expect from the theatre production, I went to see Tanto amore segreto with my colleague. At least the title sounded very promising. The depiction of the stories throughout the performance were fantastically delivered. A combination of singing, drama and storytelling make the audience get a good representation of the rather sad stories. That the performance was brought with the necessary critical humour by Simonne makes it all a bit more light-hearted. The performance was short, but enough for me. I enjoyed the evening. - Rina
